December’s theme is, of course, GIVING! There are so many great organizations locally, nationally, and globally that can use your monetary help. Please consider giving to those less fortunate. I heard that if you have food in your stomach, a place to sleep, and more than the clothing and shoes you are wearing, you are better off than 80% of the world’s population. Scripture tells us; to whom much is given, much is expected.
Some year-end reminders to remember: Make sure your 529 contributions have been RECEIVED by the fund company before 12/31/14. Please don’t wait until the last minute so you can claim your Indiana state tax credit (if applicable). If you are going to take a tax-loss, be sure to sell before year-end. If you have an IRA and you are 70½ or older, make sure you have taken your Required Minimum Distribution. If you are unsure about something, feel free to contact the office.
Finally, I want to wish you all peace, good health, and prosperity for 2015.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
(Remember, it’s ok to say Merry Christmas!)
